Share invisible to some users
I have a Duo V1 with 4.1.10. It's the office server in a small Mac environment. All Macs running 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). AFP protocol is enabled. CIFS is not (since I don't have any PCs). There are ...

Thanks!!! You pointed me in the right direction, and now it's Fixed.
A setting for the vanished share on the Advanced Share Permissions page had been changed. Specifically, Share Folder everyone rights was set to Disabled. Not sure how - cosmic rays, perhaps, or maybe a random side effect of upgrading to 4.1.10. I don't remember ever going into the Advanced page, but maybe I did. I changed that setting from Disabled to R/W, and the share reappeared on AFP.
However, what I have on the Advanced page is pretty much the opposite of what you suggested. Instead of Share Folder owner = nobody, and Share folder group = nogroup, I have admin and users. That is the recipe recommended by sphardy at:
