Share usage in GUI WAY off

I had a problem with one of my backup NAS and decided to just factory default and start over with it.  When I copied over one of the shares, the space used was way different from what the primary NAS showed.  All of the were a little off (and always larger on the backup), but this one said it was 1.6GB on the primary and ended up as 2.*TB on the backup.  I then ran a btrfs quota rescan on  the share on the primary, and it now shows the same 2.8TB usage.

So, be warned that the GUI displayed use may be highly inaccurate.  I wish I had noticed if the free space changed after the rescan.

I'm thinking of adding a periodic rescan to the cron tasks.

FWIW, I've sometimes seen nonsensical space reports.  I turned off volume quota (volume settings wheel) and then turned it back on again.  That solved it for me.  Likely that is the same as your btrfs quota rescan
