Slow to show on PS3
I have my REadyNas Duo hooked up on the PS3 to stream movies. However, it takes forever to show up, if at all. Each time I turn on the PS3 I have to "scan for media devices" is that normal? Additionally, why does it take so long after it's said that two devices are found to show them? (one of which I know is the Nas)....
Also- Once it finally shows I can only get it to show me five of the 30 movies that I currently have on there. What's the deal? What am I doing wrong? Is there a tutorial (In plain english, I'm a newb) that I can find to follow?

- Still, I don't believe that this is a performance issue of the Duo, because you say that rescan makes your NAS visible on PS3 immediately.
Unfortunately I am not an expert of this area, but I suppose somewhere some settings are just not right :)
What about the upnp setting on the NAS/Router? Does your PS3 says upnp enabled when doing a network test? (maybe this is not related to your problem at all, I don't know) - I'll double check that tonight.
What I did notice, is that before I updated ReadyDNLA to v1.0.21, if I had the 'rescan media automatically' checked on the NAS, then the PS3 wouldn't see it at all. When it was unchecked, the PS3 would take 5-10 mins to see the NAS. Now, since updating, whether it is checked or not, it takes 5-10 mins, but at least I can have the NAS rescan automatically.
