SMB disabled
I had been having a lot of issues with my ReadyNAS - initially I could not get a 'stable' file transfer for any sizable files using explorer (it would just hang after inactivity). However, it was at least working through the brower UI. Lately, even that stopped so I was left with no way to transfer files within folders on the NAS or externally.
Aside from un-installing/re-installing SMB services on my Windows 10 PC, I tried disabling the services not being used (i.e. AFP and NFS) as I only access through windows. This however automatically completely disabled SMB and since then I cannot get SMB back to enabled. It just doesn't stay green in the settings no matter what I try. I've tried re-installing 6.6.1 many times now, and even upgraded to 6.7.0 beta 4 but nothing seems to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot

- jak0lantashMentorIt's to confirm if that would make the backup option possible.

Do you have a backup of the NAS files?

no, unfortunately not - the NAS serves as a backup for all PCs and a media server
And even if I were to buy a large enough external USB3 HDD I don't know if the web UI interface is going to allow me to copy over the files anyway.

Did you try booting the NAS in Volume Read Only mode via the Boot Menu?
