The Online Filesystem Consistency Check works off a snapshot of your data. Take a look at the schedule for this under Volumes > Volume Settings > Volume Maintenance > Online File system Consistency Check. Try to set a schedule so that the check will run when you are making no/minimal writes to the NAS (e.g. run the check at night when you're asleep an hour before your backup jobs start, or schedule it to run when you're out at work). I recommend running the Online File system Consistency Check weekly.

I manually shut my NAS down last night, and got this error some time after powering it up this morning.
At least now I know what it means and I just need to remember to leave the NAS on when I've scheduled the check. :)
