Snapshots not visible in Windows
Hi, I have a RN104 with 4 2TB WD Reds set up as RAID 5 array. I had snapshots working before but now they are no longer visible from Windows Explorer - if I click on Previous Versions I get t...

I think deleting NETWORK will work ok, but you are wise in having a backup in place first.
The share isn't that large, perhaps it would be safer to just copy the share to a new one (instead of cloning) with a backup job. Then if snapshots work properly, just delete CLONE and NETWORK.
If you do delete NETWORK, let us know what happened.

Right,
I have done some playing and found out some interesting things:
I have a second share called "movies" this contains all my DVDs. I thought I'd give turning snapshots on a go on the MOVIES share, just for fun to see what happened. They worked fine! I checked every setting on the two shares and they are exactly the same.
I was then browsing online when I saw you could clone a snapshot of a share and make it into a new share. I gave this a go then I set up snapshots on the cloned share- again it worked fine!
I can only assume there is some bug in the firmware on the RN104 that's screwed up my NETWORK share.
I now have a cunning plan-
I can use the clone I made of my NETWORK share as my new NETWORK share then delete the original share.
I just hope that deleting the original share will not screw up the copy? I assume it wouldn't but I want to check - I am a bit concerned that the CONSUMED column for the CLONE says 0 bytes. I wouldn't expect the RN104 to make a copy of everything but I'd hope that deleting the original share woudn't cause it to delete everything.
Every night my RN104 backs up onto a RN102 in the garage so I have a backup but I'd rather not go there if I can!
What do you think?

I didn't realise you could copy and paste internally on the NAS rather than copying via Explorer. I was dreading copying the share but it only took 3 hours or so copying internally.
I have now deleted the original share as all the data appears to have gone over okay. I made a new share on the RN102 (which is located in the garage) to backup the new share, the RN102 is 6TB too so I have plenty of room for both backups for the time being! It looks like everythings worked okay so I'll probably delete the old backup too.
The new shares are all working fine with Previous Versions so I reckon it was a bug in the RN104 that was associated with my original share.
Thanks for your help
