Source cannot be mounted on the system
Hello, I cannot backup data from my Windows 8 computer through the peer-to-peer network to the RaedyNas 102. I get the following error message: "... Source cannot be mounted on the system". When I set...
(a) your network is not peer-to-peer, and the RN102 is a server.
(b) Frontview backup cannot access the files on a the windows machine unless the folder is shared. What you can do is run a different backup utility on the PC with a NAS share as the destination. That can be a robocopy cmd script, or a backup program. In a pinch you can use drag-and-drop, but I don't recommend it for normal use.
