ST31000528AS Firmware-Update
Hi folks,
my Duo has two Seagate ST31000528AS disks in it configured as raid 1. Both are on firmware CC38. Now i found on the Seagate website updates to fw CC42 which are marked as importand. I have no problems with my disks, they are nearly 2 years old. Do you think, i should update my disks to CC42? I just made a full backup of all the shares for to prepare it, but have no idea if i should update it at all....
Thanks everyone

- maxblackAspirantIt is actually CC49 that is the latest. I updated mine w/o difficulty, but at the same time it didn't fix a problem I was having. So if you're not having any problems, well I don't know that you want to risk the drives. Anyway see here:

- ReadySECUREApprenticeI agree, if you are not having an issue with the drives I personally would not upgrade the firmware.
