Sync to Dropbox

Hi,

I'm using ReadyNAS 312 (6.9.3) and have set "Upload local storage changes only" to backup my NAS (70GB, 30.000 files) to Dropbox.

But not all files are copied. Some folders are empty in cloud but not in NAS.

I have reseted the sync (off/on -> reconfigure) but it doesn't help.

What could be the cause? Is there some log regarding sync to Dropbox?

Thanks,
Tommy

    Hi TommyDa,

Can you try assigning a static DNS on the NAS and see if that will help. You can use 8.8.8.8.

What are the file types saved on those folders?

You can check Dropbox logs by going to the Cloud tab then go to Dropbox Settings. You may refer to the images below on how you can view it:

      HI,

I already have static DNS (from ISP), but I have added 8.8.8.8 now.
      File types: .xls/.xlsx/.doc/.txt/.dwg
50 of 70GB are synced fine. Source have 35.000 files in 27.000 folders.

I found a lot of errors in system_log/dropbox.log, but I can not interpret the information.
I attach a small part of log. Can you understand what's the problem?

      Thanks,
      Tommy

        Hi TommyDa,

Can you send to us the complete system logs of the NAS so we can check further what is causing the issue? Please check this link on how you can send it.

    Hi TommyDa

My apologies for the delayed response. I haven't done the test yet due to other commitment but will try to get it using the observation you had.

      Hi Marc_V,

Did you get a chance to do the test properly?
It's quite easy for me to reproduce the problem (see steps above).

      Regards,
      Tommy
