System volume root's usage is 84%. This condition should not occur under normal conditions.
Hi,
I've seen many instances of this on the web, but no clear instructions on how to fix it. At the moment, I have no apps that are loading (but they should), and my system says no apps are in...

Hi NTGR-OPS
Support can definitely help you out free up OS volume without touching the Data. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself if you are not comfortable using SSH but others might be able to provide you instructions. If you have full backup of your data you can do a Factory reset, only if you want to.
If you have purchased your RN316 between June 1, 2014 and May 31, 2016 then you are eligible for Lifetime Chat. Just login to my.netgear.com and create a case for Support to assist.
Hope this helps!
Regards

I'll give that a try. Appreciate the quick response.

I contacted support right away and still waiting for someone to assist with actually looking at the system. Thyey took my details and all, but details and ETA seems to be slow. I've just asked for an update again. Hopefully 3 days down is long enough.

Well, after a week of trying to get chat support, someone came in last night and "fixed it". I now have a system opening up in safe mode with no active raid array and cannot access any data. I'm very disappointed at the support I received over this service and am looking for them to try and "save" the data on the system.
It has been a terrible experience and the folks that were on chat seemed unfamiliar with what to do, even after escalating to "level 3". A complete mess.
