the share directories are lost in RN314

Hello ,

I am using RN314 . This morning , I noticed that the share folders are not visible to limited users computers in the network but only their home directories are visible .Also Admin users can see the share  directories under data directory in the network  .When I login the interface of RN314 ,I can not see the share folders on the userface of the NAS .

Normaly the users suppose to see the NAS in network . I can not see the share folders to setup the privicy settings

I will be happly if someone may show me a solution

Regards

No.  Active Directory might have affected the troubleshooting, which is why I asked.

    Ok.

Are you seeing any warnings about a full root volume in the NAS web ui or logs?  Also, how full is the data volume?

Have you any familiarity with ssh (Linux command line)?  This issue can probably be fixed with ssh w/o a factory default.

If you aren't familiar with it, you could engage paid netgear support - they can likely fix this this remotely.  If you ok with it, we can check to see if the OS partition is too full.  If it isn't, there is a tool you can use that probably will solve the share problem.

Just to make sure I understand - Are you saying that:

    1. People using admin credentials can see the data volume and shares within it, with Windows Explorer or Finder?
    2. People using their user credentials can only see their home shares?
    3. You cannot see the shares listed on the shares page of the admin web ui?

Do you have a backup of the data?

Can folks who can see the data volume also access the files in the shares?  Or are they just seeing the folders?

    Are you using active directory?
