Time Machine failing after updating ReadyNAS 102 to firmware 6.6.1

Hi all,

Have had zero problems with my ReadyNAS until two days ago, when I updated firmware to 6.6.1 and right after I had a series of problems: extremely slow load times for the admin page which often doesn’t load, Time Machine not recognizing backups from two laptops and then not repeatedly failing after trying to start new backups, and ReadyNAS failing to boot (just eternally blinking power light). I've tried factory reset and OS reinstall, but didn't want to go any further for fear of bricking it (of course my wife's laptop HD burned out last week and the NAS has the only backup so I'm feeling out on a limb). I’ve also increased the space for Time Machine well beyond what I need.

Currently, it is booted, and while I can’t access the admin page, I was able to a few hours ago to view it long enough to see that I did successfully install firmware 6.6.1, see the status is “healthy,” and for me to download logs. It takes awhile, but I can also access the admin folder through SMB, but not the ReadyNAS one.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

It is probably overwhelmed by the antivrus service. Please disable and see whether performance gets back to normal. Not sure, whether this will address the Time Machine issue, but it might help to get the system more stable.

6.6.1 has issues with antivirus. You might want to keep it disabled until 6.7 finally is available.

Thanks! I believe that resolved my immediate issue. After a day of waiting and rebooting, trying to get access to the admin page to make changes, I was able to turn off antivirus and now I can connect right away and my Time Machine backups are running normally.
