Time machine wont recognize my drive since Yosemite Upgrade

I was having a somewhat similar problem.
On my RN3130 running 6.2.2, I was unable to see the Private Time Machine backup disks on my Macs until I enabled the Share Time Machine. After I did that the Private Time Machine disks magically appeared on my Macs.
