Aug 19, 2018Hi birdnugg, as you are on xraid the 214 would try to integrate the newly inserted disk into the existing array, which is not what you need.
So, to my judgement to need to play the sata-usb game, unfortunately.

The NAS won't mount your disk if you insert it, so you will need to connect it some other way (perhaps an usb/sata adapter or dock).
I don't know how the goflex drive is formatted, or how difficult it is to offload the data.
