Transfer data to ReadyNAS 214 using spare bay

The 2TB GoFlex drive is NTFS in my case.
I do have the option to connect to my desktop and transfer over the network, but unfortunately it's not a gigabit connection.
I was mostly hoping that adding it to the ReadyNAS would let me mount it as a second volume and then just copy/paste to the X-RAID volume. This is just a home setup and I'm definitely no expert in this area, so I'm going to play it safe and transfer slowly...
