Turning off auto shutdown
Hi,
I just lost a drive that was in a RAID6 configuration. Luckily it was still under warranty and I removed it in order to send it back for a replacement. Little did I know that the nas automatically shuts down when a drive is missing. I know it will take a week or two to get a replacement so is there a way to prevent this shutdown from happening?
Also, on another note. I only discovered the drive was dead by going to the status screen as part of my weekly admin chores. I thought the system notifies by when something bad happens? I didn't get anything even though other system messages such as backups and scrubbing came through. Bit weird huh?

- chirpaLuminaryWhat model and firmware are you running? If its 4.2.x, if you can get into FrontView, goto System>Alerts. There is a checkbox in there to shutdown when a disk failure occurs.
