You'll have to call Netgear tech support and have them remotely access your system to remove the offending files/symlinks.
To allow the tech remote access, you will have to access the Tech Support mode from the Boot Menu. Instructions on how to access that are here (if you're using an RN102 like your profile says): http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detai ... RibQ%3D%3D
You can also appeal to mdgm. After I lodged a case with Netgear tech support and posted my issue on the forum, he contacted me and he was able to remotely login. Had me up and running in just a few minutes. His presence on these forums and in the ReadyNAS community is invaluable.
