Ultra II - has it been replaced?

I agree. The Red drives are cool, and have good performance - though they are not 7200 rpm. Check out this review: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/red ... 248-8.html

Well if going with WD I'd go with the new WD Red WD10EFRX. You might wish to take a look at reviews of that drive too. It isn't 7200 RPM though
Note they did not test the 1 TB version.
