Ultra2 - Storage Space Issues

Hoping someone could point me in the right direction here. Been using our Ultra2 for about 12 Months now very successfully as a Basic storage device for "Junk" in a school network. However I now want to use it in the windows domain environment. Excellent, Ultra2 Supports iScsi which is fantastic. Set up my drive, slowly moving files and setting permissions all is good.
However I have noticed a large black hole around 500GB of storage space which is shown as used, but its no where to be seen. I did use it as a time machine backup for my mac server whilst I rebuilt my main time machine backup. This was used for about 2 months and did the job. Went into frontview, Disabled Time Machine and all was good. However I feel what has happened is the old time machine space has been marked as used I can see no way to getting back to this information.
I have a 700Gb iScsi Drive.
257 GB is being used in storage and recycle bin on the main NAS Share
Our usage is showing 1540 GB (83%) of 1841 GB used
Additional 10 GB reserved for snapshots
Something is wrong here, any pointers would be great

- access share as admin user and check folder c/.timemachine
