Hi ,
Yes , i tried, but no go.
Anyway , as i'm the only user of my home network I don't want to use any password.
This works with my first device...
I need more or less anonymous access.
I found this also on google as possible solution , but i can't find this option on my device

Can you try an OS re-install as that will reset the password to the defaut (and change DNS settings)

Hi ,
I already re-installed the OS , several times, i'm working on this for several days now.
Also I reset to factory settings I think by now for 4 or 5 times( as i had problems configuring the raid level).
Anyway, I will try the OS re-install again as you suggested.

ps. I don't have any problems accessing the the front end GUI.
My only problem is that i can't access the storage space in the file explorer.
for now I created 3 volumes, for 3 disks inside the device(called NAS_C, NAS_D and NAS_E)

Have you added new entries in Credential Manager? 1 for the nas ip address and 1 for the nas hostname
Also is the workgroup name on your nas the same as the pc workgroup name
