unable to uninstall any apps

Often in those cases there isn't just one root cause. Logs and sometimes remote diagnosis are used by the Netgear mods to isolate the root cause and then provide the proper fix.
Posting those in the main forum could make problems worse.
What ReadyNAS model do you have? Note that OS6 business NAS purchased between 1 June 2014 and 31 May 2016 have free lifetime chat support, which might be useful in your case.
