Ok, so you need to use frontview to create a user and grant that user read/write access to a share. Then when you map the z: drive on your pc you will use that user name and password to connect to the share. If you are in your home environment and your PC has a username and password you can set the frontview username and password to the same values as you are using to log into windows and the share will connect automatically with that user. What is probably happening to you is that you are mapping a share that is read-only for everyone so you have no write access. If you don't know how to get to Frontview (web interface for the NAS) you probably should start with a copy of the software manual.
