You could try setting e.g.
# echo 1000 > /etc/frontview/min_fan_speed_override
then
# systemctl restart readynasd

Thanks to those who went to 6.6.0 and reported back on the fan behaviour. I continue to have a great experience with 6.5.0, unlike 6.5.1 and 6.5.2 and I hope that Netgear looks back at this version and "copies and pastes" the correctly functioning code into the future 6.6.1.
If not, 6.5.0 might be the final destination for my PRO 6..., which works great and is far better than the old OS 4. I just hope I won't accidently hit the wrong button on the automated upgrade pop-up one day.

Can you send in your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig) just after seeing the problem on 6.6.0?
Supertramp11 sticking on 6.5.0 indefinitely is not something we'd recommend.
