Ok - What is the best way to a backup?
And.... Since you guys are so smart and great, here is a question I posted on Reddit.
I have two NAS units at home, one is for backup and one is my time machine server. I want to merge the two because of size limits. Both NAS devices have SSH access, FTP, etc.
The first NAS is a Iomega StorCenter IX2-Cloud, and the second is a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ v1.
I want to dump everything from the Iomega, to the Netgear. The Netgear hosts the time machine image, and the Iomega has 1.8 TB of photos, music, docs, backups, etc... 10 yrs of stuff....
What is the best way to achieve that task, and verify the files as they go - My wife would be <beep> if I lost her photos....
Any advice, thoughts would be great :)
