USB drive renaming
Environment is ReadyNAS 214. Firmware 6.8.0. 4*3TB drives, and 3TB+2TB USB drives attached.
Originally the 3TB USB drive had a DOS partition table, with a maximum partition size of 2TB. So it was formatted as 2TB+1TB. These appeared as USB_HDD_1 and USB_HDD_2, as expected. The 2TB USB drive was then USB_HDD_3.
For the partitions I was backing up, it was inconvenient to have the 3TB USB drive split in two, so I attached it to my main Linux machine, created a GPT partition table, and create a single 3TB partition. But now when I reattached it, it has appeared as USB_HDD_4.
Hardly a disaster, but my OCD character would prefer to have USB_HDD_1 and USB_HDD_2.
What is the best way to tidy up and create the more logical naming scheme?
And my current backups go to USB_HDD_3 and USB_HDD_4 - will it be necessary to delete the backups and recreate? The "Settings" button doesn't seem to have an editable selection for "Destination".
Thanks -- Peter

Hello pmayes,
I understand that you would like to find an option to re-name the USB hard drives that connects to the NAS. As of the moment there is no option to rename it but a feature request has been sent and we are just waiting if and when they will consider adding the feature to the NAS.
