Duo V1 has no support for GPT Format. It was mentioned also by StephenB on this post.
Certain X86 devices from Legacy NAS were able to be converted from MBR to GPT format getting them to support larger capacity disks however for SPARC units like to Duo V1 it was not possible.
You may want to plan on upgrading your NAS Unit to newer models using OS6 if you really want to use larger capacity disks :)
