Virgin TIVO
Hi I'm in the UK and have just subscribed to the Virgin TIVO box. I've read many comments regarding the TIVO box and how it can be accessed by the ReadyNas ULTRA series etc. Does anyone know ...

I have a US model Tivo Premiere XL, so this may not be of any help here. I don't know whether the Virgin TiVo's support the readnas. But there are several steps that must be taken for it to work:
-I believe it is necessary for "video sharing" to be enabled on the Tivo. In the US, this is done via the Tivo web site, which in turn enables the function on the home Tivo when the home Tivo connects to the central Tivo servers overnight
-There is also a setting on the Tivo itself to enable network access, which is located somewhere in "settings"
-the Bonjour service must be enabled in the Readynas (under services / discovery services). Also, some home routers do not support Bonjour by default; on my Linksys WRT610n, for example, a setting must be changed in the router's configuration to enable Bonjour support (In the WRT610N configuration screens, select security, and then check (i.e., enable) the setting labeled "filter multicast".) You are using an Apple branded router, so I doubt this is an issue, but for other users it may be.
