Yes, This is a "direct connect". The NAS has an autosensing nic, so there is no need for a crossover cable.
If you are using dhcp with the NAS, note it will fail over to 192.168.168.168. You just need to configure the PC to use a suitable static address (for instance, 192.168.168.100, subnet 255.255.255.0)
