Vista Home Premium/Duo V2 - mapped connection dropping

UPDATE: The old Windows XP computer with the media share on the NAS mapped as a drive hasn't had a single disconnect, so this does appear to be a Vista OS problem. Yesterday afternoon Windows Update prompted me to install MS update KB2840149 which this blog http://www.winbeta.org/news/kb2840149-u ... te-reboots says fixed a botched update to the Windows 7 (??) file system kernel-mode driver that created conflicts with some third-party software, resulting in system errors. Since installing that update I have not noticed a disconnect, other than when the system went to sleep overnight, and it immediately re-connected upon waking this morning. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this update solved whatever was going on.
