So again, after playing around with several guides for installing vnc and gui on a headless device i still dont make any progress. I got a first little result with the correct arrow cursor in the vnc window and a blue color flickering. But still, there is nothing to see.
It seems to have to do with an randr/xrandr extension. At least the error messages in the vnc server log aims to this. But here i am stuck. I somehow have the feeling that the problem is a combination of a headless device and arm architecture. There seems to be another vnc server named tigervnc which is newer and maybe better for this. But there is no official build for debian wheezy arm. It seems that there is a rpm package for fedora linux (arm).
I wanted to install the rpm package but it failed because of dependencies. I did try to use the rpm tool itself for this. Then there is a hint not to use rpm but Alien. So i tried to install alien but this failes because of disk full error messages. If i run df -h it says that there is less than 40% used on all drives.
Does anyone know how to deal with one or all of my errors? Any hints?
Thanx in advance.
Regards.
