Volume scan failed to run properly - after 2 of 4 disks dead

My ReadyNas NVX reported 2 drives dead. The first 2 times I rebotted it would come back intermittently but then after a few mins the drives would be dead again. I tried updating to ther latest firmware but no luck.

Model: ReadyNAS NVX Business Edition [X-RAID2]
Firmware: RAIDiator 4.2.19
Memory: 1024 MB [6-6-6-24 DDR2]

I did an RMA on my 2 drives, but when I put one in and reboot it reports:
-Volume scan failed to run properly.
-The paths for the shares listed below could not be found. Typically, this occurs when the ReadyNAS is unable to access the data volume. media Data backup

Can you tell me what to do? IO have not actually returned the RMA drives yet.
