Wake-On-LAN: Anybody Got It Working?
Seems like WOL is the only game in town for remote recovery from a power failure ==> graceful shutdown in response to UPS. I'm doing something wrong, but don't know what. Using Fusion's "FUSION ...
WOL only works when the device issuing the WOL packet is on the same subnet as the sleeping device. You will only be able to get Remote WOL working if you can instruct another device on your LAN to send the packet.
