Wake-On-LAN: Anybody Got It Working?
Seems like WOL is the only game in town for remote recovery from a power failure ==> graceful shutdown in response to UPS. I'm doing something wrong, but don't know what. Using Fusion's "FUSION ...
I finally managed to put to work Wol on my Ultra 2.
I have a problem similar to the one described on this post: Wol works ok on lan, and on wan. But after a few minutes with the Readynas shutted down, it stops working on Wan.
I found out that the problem is not with the Readynas Firmare os Bios, or... but with the Router.
I realized that the problem was with my router.
It sets up a Dynamic ARP route to the Ultra 2, that I beleive the router does some house cleaning, and cleans 20 minutes after not finding the Router online.
You have to setup a static route pointing to the Ultra 2.
In my case, with a Thomson TG784n router it was easy.
