WebDAV on ReadyNAS Duo v1 not responding to WAN connections

Question

Hi,&nbsp;I set up WebDAV access on a ReadyNAS Duo v1 running firmware v.4.1.14. I followed the instructions as stated here, including installation of mentioned webdav patch. I configured a share to be accessible via WebDAV (https). I set up a domain name pointing to my public IP address, I opened port 443 tcp in my firewall and forwarded it to the NAS' IP address. However, I am not able to establish a webdav connection from wan via https://subdomain.mydomain.tld/sharename using ES Explorer on Android. ES Explorer tells me, server not found.&nbsp;What puzzles me is that I am able to establish a WebDAV connection from lan using exactly the same configuration. I am also able to access the NAS' admin page from wan which tells me that port forwarding is working as it should.&nbsp;Any help is highly appreciated.&nbsp;renoir.

DId you try the android device's browser? &nbsp;That might give a clue.

Works just fine, after the usual self-signed certificate warning.

Ok. &nbsp;So the connection is working fine.

Perhaps ES File Explorer is choking on the cert error??? Or a typo in its webdav server config???

I set it up to use ftps myself (which works fine, and is also encrypted).

As I mentioned before, I am able to establish a connection and transfer files with ES Explorer as long as I connect from LAN. The issue exists for WAN connections only. I suspect webdav is dropping every connection originating from any address range other than the lan's subnet. I have ssh access enabled; could you point me to any configuration file that define access restrictions based on IP addresses?

&nbsp;If that were the case, then the Android browser wouldn't have been able to browse the share either. &nbsp;So this is confusing.

Perhaps a Netgear person can reply on the config question.

When I have a chance, I'll configure one of my Duo's shares to use webdav, and see if I can duplicate your problem on my phone.
