What's the benefit of joining a NAS to the domain?
We use our NAS to only backup a single to over ISCSI. Just wondering what benefit would I gain by joining it to the domain?

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThe general benefit is having single sign on for your users, without the need to deal with separate passwords for the NAS.
In your specific case, perhaps that is not very significant. - I left the word "server" out but I guess you got it figured out.
thanks, I figured it was that much but was hoping for more. - xeltrosApprenticeFor windows machines that's a little more than that but for linux that's quite limited.
For windows it would also mean GPO and NAP with all that it implies.
