Where the hell is the bittorrent software?
Just brought a Readynas Duo V2, according to the adverts it is supposed to have software for downloading torrents. If it has then it is well hidden, where the hell is it? Searched everywhere, not even there on the Addons tab, only has Readynas Remote and Readynas replicate. Hours of searches on Google have not helped, lots of people talking about it but no clue as to where it is.
Am I just being a plank? Please help!

- Speck1AspirantMany thanks. Found the file and downloaded it, where exactly do I put it?
Sorry to be a pain! - SlaskyAspirantI'd guess you go to System -> Update -> Local and press browse, find your downloaded file and press upload and verify. After that you press install. That will take about a few seconds or up to a minute. Then you get a message about the addon being installed, and if the addon requires it, it will prompt for a reboot.
After this, the addon will appear under the Services -> Installed Addons, where you can set settings (if applicable) or link you to the webpage where you can add your torrents. - Speck1AspirantIf I go to System, update, the only options there are 1. Check for updates 2. Install Firmware 3. Perform factory default.
Any other sugestions? - SlaskyAspirantI'm not familiar with the Duo v2 software, but do you have a choice on the left side menu on the bottom that says Add-ons?
- Speck1AspirantNo, add ons is in another place, but no option there to browse for a downloaded file
- ReadySECUREApprenticeThe Duo V2 uses ARM architecture; going to System > Update or in the Add-ons > Install Add-on is on devices with other architecture.
it looks like you'll have to use Transmission since that is the only one available for ARM devices.
To install the add-on, go to Configure > Add-ons, then click New Add-on, click Browse, find the file, then click Upload. - SlaskyAspirantWhat the guy above said :)
Only seen the GUI of the Duo v1 and the Ultra 4 firmware. Guess its slightly different from each platform - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredOn the v2, the "New Add-on" button is a button with a + on it towards the right of the page when you are in the Add-ons section.
- Speck1AspirantOk, thanks everyone, installed now and appears to be working. Only one small query......
When I start a download, then switch off my laptop, the next morning when I re start there is a box up telling me that it has failed. Two buttons to press, 1. Dismiss, 2. Details.
Both seem to just make the box go away. Here is the odd thing, the download has completed successfully. This happens every time.
What have I missed?
Thanks
