The RN102 can't be used with the EDA500. Which devices do you have and in what configuration?
Have you checked the SMART stats for the disks?
It sounds like you could have a bad disk.

I did some pretty thorough research when I bought these 2 units and am pretty certain the documentation at the time said they will indeed work together. Is this something that recently changed? The volume is spanned flexraid (raid6) between the two enclosures, something that I am aware is not recommended. Once I get this up and running I plan to separate the span so that it is enclosed within each unit separately.
I am currently removing one disk at a time to see if it will sync completely, however the smart logs are not showing any signs of disk failure.

I don't think the RN102 (2-bay entry level desktop unit) has ever supported the EDA500 from what I recall.
Can you send in your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig)? If you can't download them via the web admin interface you could try via RAIDar.
