Wrong username / password on Ready Nas Duo v2
Since I am a grown up, I am not supposed to barge in to this forum and just yell that this product is crap. I really can't say that before I have managed to actually login to it, can I? Have to...

Evan,
Thank you! Glad I checked this thread before I raised a similar confusion. Do you mean that the default password in the 'Hardware' manual is incorrect?
The 'Hardware' manual (pdf) does show the 'admin/netgear1' login pair on page 33. Thankfully the 'Software' manual for v5.3 (page 11) does show the
'admin/password' login pair. I would like to confirm, please.
I am starting the build and install of a new RND2000-200NAS (diskless). I plan to reuse my now 4yr old Seagate ST3500630AS (my nas spare!) via the
Factory Reset Boot option. This HD most likely has a very old v4.1.x RAIDiator f/w system; which I read is incompatible with the new X-Raid2 format. Fine.
The plan is for this Duo-V2 to be my local Backup target for my current, very happy 4yr old Duo-V1! :D
