Hi,
I have a lot of devices attached to my router. I try to keep things organized so I can see what is attached in the Attached Devices screen.
Can Netgear please add the option to upload a custom icon so one can upload an icon given the current icon set is pretty outdated it seems.
Either that or can you please add icons for:
Amazon Echo
Amazon Echo Dot
Amazon Fire
Amazon Fire Stick
Ring Doorbell
Roku
Ring Chime
Logitech Harmony
Samsung SmartThings
At the least, can you please add generic icons for:
Thermostats
Doorbells
Smart Assistants (Amazon Echo, Google Home, etc)

Didn't see this in here, until I posted a similar request. Here are some Icon's I think would be useful all around.
- Wifi Speaker
- Wired Speaker
- Door lock
- Door Bell
- Wifi Light
- Drone
- Robot
- House Phone
- Remote Control
- Watch
- Car
- Circle
- Sqare
- Triangle

Thanks
- MotoMikeNoviceMy 2 cents: This is a much needed update - either ability to add own icons or for Netgear to update their icon dbase. The list of requested icons is great and meets the bare minimum of must have. Generic icons for iPhones, iPads, instead of trying to keep up with icons that match the latest builds from Apple (i.e. iPhone5, 5s, 6, 6s). This reduces software engineering resources on incremental updates and focus on annual updates that should include major changes in the home / small business wireless landscape. For example door locks, wifi lights, wareables, doorbells, home security, garage-doors, motion sensors, and the bridges growing mesh network (i.e. Zigbee, etc…). We all realize that Netgear main focus isn’t based in wireless attached device graphic art, but this feature is something that is highly useful and as IoT continues to grow managing these personal growing networks for our homes is no longer a IT role. So in this consumers opinion I would like to see Netgear put some resources and finish what you started with this feature. Included with everything mentioned in the previous post: 1. Garage 2. Door 3. Home voice to internet icon (Alexa, Google, Siri, etc…) 4. doorbell 5. doorbell chime 6. car / automobile 7. lights, light bulb, etc.. 8. motion detector 9. Appliances (Stove, Fridge, Coffee Maker, Microwave, Dish Washer, Washer / Dryer, etc…) Think IoT. 10. Icons that can represent generic attached devices better than the one you have now. At min create more than one generic network icon (i.e. generic NAS, generic Bridge, generic Mobile, generic Home Security, generic Wearable, etc….). 11. Thermostat (Again, doesn’t have to be Nest specific make it generic so its clearly a thermostat and you can avoid copyright issues;) 12. Speakers Finally, as I write this I am 100% confident there are network attached devices in my own home I have forgotten to mention in this message. I only mention this to drive home the point that managing our networks is a very high priority for me. Managing it through a easy to use GUI is a feature I would not want to be without. I hope this helps. Also, the current list is not alphabetized at least not on my Orbi or Nighthawk router firmware. If you could make some adjustments in your updates that would be great, either allow end user to modify list or you clean it up. Thanks
While Netgear's Engineering team investigates, I'm looking around my house and would add generic symbols for:
1.) Webcams (there is "Camera" today)
2.) Fans or A/C
3.) Health devices (somebody mentioned IoT wearables, but I have a connected scale)
4.) Cooking devices (somebody mentioned Appliances like stoves/microwaves, but they've sold a lot of Annova (et al) sous vide connected devices...)
I hope this helps! It's an old issue to address!

This really needs to happen. Just allow users to input a device type themself and drag and drop icons for them. Simple .jpg drag and drop should suffice.

It really feels like Netgear doesn't want to promote any vendors or technologies that they might deliver or have on their roadmap. There's really no other explaination for the laziness of the device list. Maybe two more days of development?

I'm totally agree, much icons missing..i.e. Inverter or Solar panels
I think the best way would be to give the user the freedom to add their own png files.
I suggest what follows:
- when chosing Other device, a popup window will open and give you the way to pick a png/jpg file from your drives
- then Genie would copy the file into their folders and use it in association with the selected device

Case850, if you just nead a plain list why don't you use the web interface to the router or the great Angry IP Scanner?
Angry scanner gives to you also the way to comment any device, to run commands with that device (open with browser, telnet, ftp, etc), it's near perfect, but it miss a graphical representation of the network.
Genie have that representation.. and you would like to transform Genie in something that already exist?

Case850the Genie we are talking about is not the router interface (with the same name, a smart choice..) you access via a browser, but a Windows program with a graphical interface.
If what you need is a spreadsheet type presentation I still suggest Angry IP scanner http://angryip.org/screenshots/ipscan-win10.png

I agree the icons should be updated.
