For security reason the radios cannot be turned on with physical button on routers like R7000 while they are scheduled to be off via user interface. However for people like me, who do not have kids but still would like to schedule radios off during the night to limit microwaves while sleeping, I think it would be nice to have this option when I have occasionally to work at night. The security set-up could remain, we would need a new option in user interface to eneble wifi button on purpose. Thanks

Hi xalbe,
This will defeat the purpose of WiFi scheduler. Both the button and the UI option are disabled during the scheduled hours as designed. You may disable the WiFi scheduler and just turn off the wireless signal via the button if not in use and turn it on if you want to use it.
- xalbeInitiateHi James,
I understand how the router woorks and the purpose of scheduler. Indeed I am sling for a mes feature with a different purpose, which is avoid radios "pollution" at night. Even if wifi is safe I still would like to avoid having radios on when unnevessary but so have the option to enable them when needed. Purpose is different. - schuminouNovice
I fully agree with Xalbe! This is exactly the difference between a industry specified system and a customer need. Te need exists, can we get it in a future firmware version?

Hi same here,
in my old R7000 the button overruled the schedule, which is an absolute relevant approach..
My new RAX 120 router is placed 1.5m from my desk and I don't wanna get beamed the whole day thus
I have schedules that are disabling wifi from 8:am till 6 pm. On several occastion I need to easily activate
wifi which is quickly done with the press of a button.
Solution: Develop an option to override the scheduler with the hardware button. That's it
Thx,
Oliver

Hello everyobdy,
i suppose there's still no rebuild of this "old" feature? As mentioned, if you have kids it's totaly reasonable that the radio button can't overwrite a fixed time schedule for on/off but there's also a use case to overwrite a schedule: For instance when you occasionally work at night (as mentioned by xalbe ) where typically the routers wifi is scheduled to off.
So please dear developer, j
just rethink this and implement and easy checkbox with a function to enable the button to overwrite the scheduler.
Cheers,
Oli

I would love to see this feature!
