Limiting Bandwidth Usage by Throttling the SSID - WIFI Routers
WIFI Routers.
Need to be able to Throttle Bandwith (Download & Upload Speeds) by SSID.
Abilty to Select any SSID (2.4Ghx, 5Ghz, 60Ghz) and Normal SSID's and Guest SSID's and Throttle / Limit the Upload and Download Speeds of the SSID.
90% of all WIFI Routers have this FEATURE as a Standard, from Baseline Routers up to Highend.
Using the Q.O.S method add's a massive amount of Adminitration, if you have a number of people connecting on and off any SSID to create a QOS rule for every Device will be a huge Administrative Task continously..

This is a brilliant idea. Our daughter is on FaceTime all the time and one of the problems now is with the new Comcast max 1TB per month. We run a business from home and therefore we’re reaching the max per month just because she’s FaceTiming. If there was a way to throttle the max bandwidth on certain SSIDs like the guest SSID then we could connect her to that one and then she wouldn’t use all our data!

It amazes me this feature isn't already in Netgear devices.

I agree, this would be a really useful feature to have. Hopefully someone approves this soon and implements it into a future firmware update.

I thought I had upgraded when I bought my Netgear orbi but to find out it doesn't have this feature is disappointing. My only solution now is to stop inviting people round and turn off the guest SSID.
I don't think any company really monitors their forums. It's like complaining in an empty room hoping someone will hear and let you out.
