The last time I actively worked on and programed computers, networks was the 90's. That explains it all. The problem I'm having now is maintaining my network on my Netgear R6220. I have a Samsung UN50J5200 Smart TV, Sony BDV E3100, HP DESKJET 2542, HPmodel 20002b19WM and an LG51al smart phone. My primary problem is my printer goes ofline everytime I turn it off and I have to go through the HP trouble shooter each time to get it back on line. I have both HP APPS on my tablet and phone. I've even left the printer on but have the same problem. I've allowed both the HP and the Widows trouble shooters to provide assistance, as well as provided manual settings. Needless to sat I am plagued with the same loss of network contact. I am open for suggestions. I've kept my drivers up to date. I am the only one using the network and hardware described earlier.
As you may know my router has 2.4 ghz and 5ghz capabilities. Me being not savvy in this area, I'm not sure if this could help. The router is centrally located in my small living space. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a disabled. American Veteran, my wife has passed, the children are grown, this technology is currently my only solice in a would that determined that I am no longer serviceable. So this is my link to the world. Please respond, am I wasting my time? Thanks for any assistance or advice you can give!
