Can we have specific DNS setting for WAN and 4G
Dear All, I have a Routeur 4G LTE Nighthawk REF R7100LG with Failover settinf from ISP1 FTTLA to ISP2 4G. Firmware Version : V1.0.0.42_1.0.6 I have the following setting. WAN Acces from Fiber ISP1 : DNS set with Open DNS with Primary 208.67.222.222 · Secondaty 208.67.220.220 WAN Acces from 4G ISP2 is impossible de go to internet with my French ISP : Bouygues Telecom 4G do not accept other DNS. Any chanche to have 2 specific DNS Setting. It will be nice to have in the next firmware release DNS Setting primary for ISP1 DNS Setting secondary for ISP1 DNS Setting primary for ISP2 DNS Setting secondary for ISP2 If we do not have this setting, in France it will be impossible to run with OpenDNS on ISP1 as OpenDNS is not allowed on 4G sim card. The Readyshare print server is a poor feature that can't handle itself with multi-users. The feature has a tremedous lag on wifi more than 15 minutes! Sometimes the tasks are swallowed into a sinkhole on multi users it's anightmare the feature is blocked or can't print properly. It is time to rethink the entire stuff and end the hibbernation mode!!!! The feature should be configured thru this OS and not thru the app. OS config should be mandatory a 17 y/o SMC is able to do it!!!! The "customers" of my network are complaining every single day!!! I really HATE that feature!! This feature MUST be able to be configured on Win, Mac and Linux thru the OS and an optional mode thru the app only!!New features and security for modem and routers
Make id's protection and network Make vulnerability protection for all like Ports ,ip,dns,modem fimware, hardware ect make sure this feature don't drop the conection Make a internal software speed test Make Qos gaming for the modems c7000 don't have lan Qos Fix firewall false and positive and log Update wireless security to not be hack or decode by a haker using software to hack or bypass the security Fix the upnp security and network not detected upnp not reconise or not working corecly Increase nat and firewall speed to improve gaming performance and staviliity for faster loading Make dns protection prevent malware change dns or highjack the security Make secure login https for better security or higher Make a fimware protection to prevent hake es install malwere or nsa spy by modified the modem fimware Fix nat strict moderate or crashing fix that for gaming Fix port ward not opening the port or reconise Make nat fully compatible with other nat to play online Fix chanel frequency dropping for modem and wireless Make a new sistem to set voltage chanel power to 0 or any voltage so the modem module and reduce the voltage For better network performance ect Fix readyshare vulnerability this conect without you doing something fix that that happen on c7000 modem You can't disable readyshare fix that and when he conect don't show on conected device you can event block it in case is a haker Update always the firewall security so to be up to date for any security attacks on modem and routers Fix router and modem ip detect server dns and all the ip some time this cold get glish and the device may not work correctly Make a new test conection for modem and router incase there is a error or ip conflict ect Update the performance for all modem and all feature Make netgear software more faster so don't impact modem or raouer performance and staviliity for all Netgear don't forget always check for modem and router vulnerability they always have Just helping netgear corp make better product and security Thanks you
