PLEASE update the Genie program. It is so slow, clunky, outdated, and ugly. It's really pathetic, especially in the vain of more expensive hardware. The user experience does not match the price. It's like buying a Mercedes but the seats are made of cheap cloth. If I spend hundreds of dollars on a top of the line product, I expect the software to be excellent. Other companies have much better software. Catch up.

Add me to the Absolutely Agree list. The User Interface is clumsy/inefficient to use; not facile.

I agree with Jarlmaster. The Genie is a terrible app to use. It sinks and we are spending good money on the router itself only to use a crappy App to manage the router and network. The Genie provides little information about the network and the Network Map sinks as well. Why do I have to login every single time to the Genie on my phone to view the details of my network.
Actually, please update the r8000 router first then update the Genie.
If you agree with this idea (and you all seem to) please upvote this idea so Netgear hopefully does something about this issue.

Look at very first post. To the left of the Subject & username line is a large UpArrow. If you click on it, that will be an UpVote.

Ha. That sounds awfully ambitious guyguy. They'll update the program but I doubt we'll see a completely rebuilt, modern program like we want.

can't cascade devices!!
