- schumakuGuru - Experienced UserThis is about the DHCP client handling te assignment of the AP network config either from the DHCP server (typically your router) - alternate config is definig LAN IP, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server IPs manually.

A couple of things.
1. Please ensure you are using the latest firmware.2. Sometimes firmware options and configuration can become messed up (on any device) and sometimes a factory reset sorts out the issue.
3. Are you referring to the DHCP setting for the WAN connection or for LAN clients?
a. It is super common to have to use DHCP for WAN connections, even if you have a static IP connection with your ISP.
b. I believe the WAX204 is by default a router with WiFi, and as such it is normal for DHCP server capabilities to be always enabled for its network clients. The exception to this scenario would be if it was acting as a network bridge which would require it to connect to another router on your LAN that has DHCP server capability enabled.
