wax204 inability to limit login interface to only wired systems

Why is the login interface on the wax204 internet accessible? I have the latest firmware 1.0.2.4 and I cant limit the login to wired only systems on the network. This leaves the login interface open to hackers and mine was hacked as a result.

You want to prohibit the Web UI access from the wireless connected devices?

Sorry, I'm confused here. Which wired systems exactly?

Afraid, don't own such a WAX204 so please allow me to ask some questions.

What is the operation mode: Access Point or Router Mode?

In access point mode, I would expect the WAX204 being accessible from the wired network (LAN), represented by any of the Ethernet ports, including the one marked WAN.

The opposite to wired would be wireless  This would apply to the Internet/WAN port as well as the LAN ports which should be NAT routed.

And then again, I would assume the WAX204 is operated behind a NAT router or the like, operating on a private RFC1918 IP subnet, obviously different from what makes up the Internet connection.

In router mode, using any special encapsulation for the WAN/Internet port?

in NAT router mode, I would expect the Web UI won't be reachable from the Internet, or using the exposed port. Undoubted, any other access or exposure would be a risk, because the system certainly isn't designed to be exposed to the wild Internet.

Please tell us more about your WAX204 configuration, about the connections in place, and how you think the WAX204 is Internet accessible.
