AX2700 WiFi Cable Modem Router (CAX30S)

Just installed a AX2700 WiFi Cable Modem Router (CAX30S)

I am unable to connect my Dish Network receiver via the Ethernet cable. Says router not found.

I also cannot connect one of my laptops wirelessly unless i use the guest network, on a second laptop it only connects via the 5g. it won't connect to the 2.4 and when connected to 5g it won't access some websites

Thanks for any suggestions.

    The CAX30S is cable modem/router.

What is this "Dish Network receiver"?

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

    Cable Modems & Routers

You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and ethernet connected devices. CAT6 is recommended.

Power OFF the modem and ethernet connected devices for 1 minute then back ON with the modem first then ethernet connected devices.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.

Is AX mode and Smart Connect enabled or disabled?

Ensure any wireless adapter drivers are updated on the laptop.

My DISH Hopper connects to my CAX30.
