Do I need new equipment, or is there a setting to remedy this issue?

I just had my internet hooked up yesterday.  When they hooked up my router, they saw 3 MAC addresses on their end.  The speeds and everything were good.  After speaking with the manager of their support team, they shut down my internet.  I have to purchase one of their routers, rent the equipment or buy another router.  I spent a lot of money on this router and would like to use it.  I know it's a cable modem - router in one. Can I change this in settings? Can anyone help?  I have trouble shot as much as I as know.  I couldn't find bridge mode to disable it.  thought that might do it?

Thanks in advance!

Why did the ISP shut down the internet service for the modem after they got it set up?

Ask the ISP about this. They are responsible for getting modems connected to there system and network.

They shut down the internet because they pay for each MAC address. I only pay for 1. The router is putting out 3. This is what they told me. Since it’s my equipment, my problem.

They should be only allow and associate 1 of the MAC addresses. Block the others. Not a NG problem.
