Maybe different.
Cable FW is the modem portion of the CAX that gets updated by ISPs only. No user updates here.
The FW version is the router portion of the CAX which users can manually update if and when NG releases something.

That makes a lot of sense! TYVM! My ISP told me those should match but then said they wouldn't push a cable firmwear update to me since it's customer owned! 🙄

The CAX series is one of the first that separates out the modem side firmware from the router side so you can still update the firmware on the router without the ISP's input. A nice feature to have as a lot of combo devices won't get updates because the ISP's won't certify the firmware because it costs them $
