CM1000 Xfinity issues - hitting up during day
I have the CM1000. It's two months old. I've seen the following in my log. Yesterday my modem sync hit three times. Not sure what the issue is but Comcast was out here a few weeks back and ran a test on my line, replaced some connectors, said all should be good.
I have a single splitter between the coax from the curb and my cable modem. Here's one of the events from my log.
This modem was reset/reprovisioned by Comcast yesterday afternoon.

Re: CM1000 Xfinity issues - hitting up during day
So this turned out to be a neighbor's gear. Comcast was visiting a neighbor who was having issues. I went out to talk to the tech. Another neighbor came out. Turns out that there is like 8-10 neighbors on a single segment. If someone's house has issues, it can send noise into the system which can affect everyone else on that network segment. He disconnected all the houses and tested each and found out one of our neighbors had a ton of noise on their line into their house. The tech put a filter on their connection so we were no longer affected and scheduled a call out to check their house connectivity. Success!
Note, the tech I chatted with only tested to my line and it was clear. They could not tell that another neighbor was causing issues. This was also the case when a tech checked my line one month ago. The tech that came out would have had to check other houses to see the noise. Guess some techs go the extra mile?
